Ingredients:
Pack hot Italian sausage, about 5-6 links
1/2 red onion, diced
1 shallot, diced
1 pk arugula, diced
7 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup sharp cheese
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 ½ tsp Thyme
2 tsp Sage
1 ½ tsp Garlic powder
1 pie crust
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Add pie crust into pie pan allowing it to fully over the bottom of the pan
Place uncooked pie crust into the freezer, this will prevent shrinkage
In a large skillet on medium heat add in sausage removing it from the casing
Add in red onion, and shallot
Cook for 8-10 minutes or until sausage is cooked
Add in arugula, allowing it to cook and wilt
Remove from heat and set aside
In a large bowl combine the rest of the ingredients, adding in the sausage mixture
Pour mixture into frozen crust
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the quiche is firm and has not jiggled.
